GDA – Integrated Real Estate Services is a human-sized real estate consulting firm, whose team benefits from solid experience and a highly enviable reputation in the province’s market, which has cutting-edge expertise in various fields of practice. The complementary strengths of our professionals, combined with a network of seasoned collaborators, ensure that the firm can offer comprehensive and very high-quality professional services.

Our personal information protection policy describes our standards for collecting, using, disclosing, and retaining your personal information. It also explains the roles and responsibilities of staff members throughout the lifecycle of personal information. Finally, our policy explains how we protect your personal information and your right to access it.

For the purposes of this privacy statement, the term “personal information” means information about an identifiable individual, as more specifically defined by applicable privacy laws.

GDA – Integrated Real Estate Services complies with the requirements of Law 25 and therefore adheres to its definition. Therefore, personal information is any information, taken alone or in combination with other available information, about an individual that identifies them, such as information about their financial situation, lifestyle, or health.

However, an individual’s name, as well as their professional contact details, i.e., their title, address, telephone number, and professional email address, are not personal information.

Personal information must be protected regardless of the nature of its medium and whatever its form: written, graphic, audio, visual, computerized, or other.

2. Our Responsibility

GDA – Integrated Real Estate Services is responsible for all personal information in its possession or under its control, including personal information we receive directly – for example, from clients and GDA – Integrated Real Estate Services staff members.

GDA – Integrated Real Estate Services adheres to best practices in cybersecurity to protect our IT assets, including personal information.

We have also assigned a personal information protection officer who oversees privacy and personal information protection on behalf of GDA – Integrated Real Estate Services. We have also posted on our website and informed our staff about our Privacy Policy and our Personal Information Governance Policies and Practices, as well as the role each must play in protecting the personal information of our clients and team members.

3. Purposes of Personal Information Collection

GDA – Integrated Real Estate Services collects, uses, and discloses personal information about its team members to comply with laws, regulations, and professional standards; to provide them with benefits; to administer performance management tools; to administer, manage, monitor, and enforce GDA – Integrated Real Estate Services programs and policies and its relationships with its employees; and, in general, to establish and manage employment or association ties or to terminate them.

GDA – Integrated Real Estate Services may also collect, use, and disclose personal information about individuals who apply for employment at GDA – Integrated Real Estate Services.

Personal information may be collected without the individuals being notified or without their consent, to the extent permitted by law.

4. Consent

GDA – Integrated Real Estate Services ensures that it obtains the consent of the individuals concerned before collecting, using, or disclosing personal information, except as authorized or required by law.

5. Collection Limits

GDA – Integrated Real Estate Services collects only personal information that it can reasonably deem necessary to meet its legal obligations, provide its services, and conduct its activities, and only by legitimate and legal means.

6. Use and Disclosure Limits

GDA – Integrated Real Estate Services uses and discloses your personal information only for the purposes for which it obtained your consent or as permitted or required by law. If GDA – Integrated Real Estate Services needs to use or disclose personal information about an individual for a purpose not previously indicated, GDA – Integrated Real Estate Services will seek the individual’s consent in advance, unless the law requires or permits the use or disclosure of personal information without obtaining the individual’s consent.

We retain personal information only as long as necessary to achieve the specified purposes, except as authorized or required by law. All human resources records and other records containing personal information about GDA – Integrated Real Estate Services employees are destroyed when this information can no longer reasonably be considered necessary for legal, regulatory, or administrative purposes.

7. Accuracy

To ensure that the personal information collected is relevant for the purposes for which it is used, GDA – Integrated Real Estate Services makes reasonable efforts to maintain the integrity of individuals’ personal information and update it regularly.

Individuals concerned by the collected personal information must communicate in writing with the personal information protection officer to request a correction.

8. Security Measures

GDA – Integrated Real Estate Services adheres to best practices in cybersecurity to define and implement a series of risk mitigation measures to protect our IT assets, including our personal information.

9. Access

Individuals have the right to review the personal information in our possession and obtain a copy. To do so, they must contact the personal information protection officer.

The right to access personal information is subject to certain legal restrictions, and we will take reasonable steps to verify the relevance of the request and the identity of an individual before granting them access.

We understand the importance of ensuring the privacy and protection of personal information of individuals. 11. Changes to the Privacy Policy

This policy should be reviewed every three years. It should also be updated in the event of any significant changes to legislation or regulatory requirements.
